Yesterday a shuffle rhythm has struck my head. Today, I think I managed to capture a ghost of that shuffle. .
It was an interesting test for new audio interface that I ended up with — first generation RME Babyface. Recording with this thing is really an amazing experience. The amazing TotalMix FX for management of the unit is the strongest of those I tried — Octacapture, Presonus Firestudio and First Gen Scarlett. Not to mention the obvious increase in note definition and sound clarity.. Awsome!
For this track I used Rode M5 as the main mic for my Blues Junior guitar amp. The bass was taken as a DI to the instrument input to the side of Babyface. I really like that there is no need to fool around with any settings and mic placements. You just plug it in, and it just sounds good!
